Our commitment
At Our Lady of Compassion Catholic Primary School, we believe that every person is created in the image and likeness of God and is therefore unique, valued and loved. Guided by our mission to be "kind and compassionate to one another" and inspired by the teachings of Jesus, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where every member of our school community is respected, welcomed and encouraged to flourish.
We celebrate the richness of our diverse community and strive to ensure that all pupils, families, staff and visitors are treated with dignity, fairness and respect. We are committed to removing barriers to learning and participation so that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

How We Promote Equality
Equality is woven throughout school life through:
Catholic Life
Children learn that every person is precious in the eyes of God and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Through daily prayer, Collective Worship, Religious Education and Catholic Social Teaching, pupils develop an understanding of inclusion, compassion and service to others.
We do this through:

Fundraising and charitable work through Mini Vinnies, CAFOD, Nugent and local community projects.

Curriculum
Our curriculum helps children understand and appreciate diversity within our local, national and global communities. Through carefully planned learning experiences, pupils explore different cultures, faiths, backgrounds and perspectives.
We do this through:

Pastoral Care
We are proud of our nurturing environment where every child is known, valued and supported. Strong relationships between pupils, staff and families help children develop confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.
